Cartoon colony PDF Štampa El. pošta

In a purpose to make more rich the contest of it's annual competition and make whole event more interesting, Zemun International Salon of Caricature in 2005 organized, together with the club and association "Široka staza", first international Cartoon Colony. Colony was held in the eve of the opening ceremony of tenth Salon, from 4th till 6th June 2005, and except the awarded cartoonists on the competition - Peter Nieuwendijk (Holland), Florian Doru Crihana (Romania), Ivan Kutuzov (Bulgaria), Michael Kountouris (Greece) and Vlado Volaš (Serbia and Montenegro) - on it participated several cartoonists from Zemun and Belgrade - Tošo Borković, Jovan Prokopljević, Goran Miladić and Dušan Gađanski. Both participants and a numerous visitors were excited with the event, specially with spontaneous and non convention atmosphere and the hospitality of people from the club "Široka staza" and mostly with the unique ambient - oasis of virgin nature on the bank of the Danube, but just a few steps from the center of town and it's more traffic street. A lot of visitors went home with their caricatures, drowned by some of the participants, and the guests from abroad, comparing Zemun colony with other similar events world around on which they used to participate, gave priority to Zemun.

The success of the first Colony couraged organizers, so from 3rd – 5th June 2006 was organized the second Cartoon Colony. Participated nine artists from six countries - Peter Nieuwendijk (Holland), Alexandra Mia Monkewitz and Daniel Bosshart (Swiss), Ilian Savkov and Ivan Kutuzov (Bulgaria), Florian Doru Crihana and Nick Lengher (Romania), Darko Drljević (Montenegro) and Dušan Gađanski (Serbia), while Davor Štambuk (Croatia), who was invited but couldn’t come in Zemun, sent his works for the exhibition. Special guests were Dieter Burkamp (Germany) and Predrag Koraksić Corax (Serbia). Three days passed in drawing and mutual friendship of participants and the hosts from Zemun International Salon of Caricature and association “Široka staza”, rather because of the rainy weather the number of visitors were under expected.

The Third cartoon colony “Široka staza” was held from June 8th to June 10th 2007. Participated Ludo Goderis (Belgium), Roger Penwill (England), Bogdan Shykh (Ukraine), Delčo Mihajlov (Macedonia), Cristof Stueckelberger (Switzerland) and Dušan Gađanski (Serbia). Honorable guests were Gisela and Dieter Burkamp from Germany.

The Fourth cartoon colony “Široka staza” was held from June 6th to June 8th 2008. Participated Ivan Kutuzov (Bulgaria), Rumen Dragostinov (Bulgaria), Florian Doru Crihana (Romania), Vlado Volaš (Serbia) and Dušan Gađanski (Serbia).

The Fifth cartoon colony “Široka staza” was held on June 5th and 6th 2009. Participated Florian Doru Crihana (Romania), Pol Leurs (Luxembourg), Ivailo Tsvetkov (Bulgaria), Zoran Tovirac (Serbia) i Dušan Gađanski (Serbia). As special guests participated doyens of Serbian cartooning,  Dragan Rumenčić and Predrag Koraksić – Corax.
